Group Bookings & Events – The Pottery Lounge Queenstown

Want the Lounge to yourselves? Book a private group session and enjoy a relaxed, creative night with your crew — birthdays, hens, family catch-ups, team nights, or just an excuse to do something different.

  • Group size: 8–15 people (8 minimum)

  • Price: $80 per person (same as standard)

  • Exclusive use: Yes — your group gets the room

  • Sessions: Evening sessions available (prior booking required)

  • Day sessions: Room exclusivity can be available by request

  • Food: You’re welcome to bring your own food. Complimentary pre-packaged snacks and non-alcoholic drinks provided.

  • Alcohol: No alcohol permitted

  • Kids parties: No kid parties under 10 years old (10+ only)

What's Included


Your $80 per person includes everything you need:

  • Choice of a pottery piece to paint
  • All paints, brushes, tools, and guidance
  • Glazing + kiln firing
  • We’ll take care of the finishing — you simply create

Evening group sessions

Evening bookings are ideal for:

  • Hens nights (without the chaos)
  • Date-night energy with a bigger group
  • Team socials and client nights
  • Birthdays and family gatherings

Evening sessions are by prior booking only so we can staff and set up the space for your group.

Daytime group sessions (exclusive use by request)

If you’re looking for a daytime private session, we can sometimes offer exclusive use depending on bookings and studio schedule. Send through your preferred dates and we’ll confirm availability.

Group sessions are bookings only.

To request a booking, send:

  • Preferred date + a backup option
  • Your group size
  • Whether you want evening or daytime
  • Any special notes (kids in group, timing, accessibility needs)

Important notes

  • No alcohol in the studio.

  • Kids parties must be 10+ (and children must be supervised).

  • Painted pieces are not taken home same day. They’ll be glazed and fired, then ready for pickup later (or we can arrange shipping if needed).
