Paint-At-Home Pottery Kit
Bring the Pottery Lounge experience home. Our Paint-At-Home Kit has everything you need to design and paint your very own ceramic piece in your own time — perfect for kids, chilled nights on the couch, a quiet night in, or a creative catch-up with friends.
Take as long as you like, paint at your own pace, then simply return your finished piece to The Pottery Lounge for its final firing. We'll fire it in the kiln to bring out that beautiful glossy finish and make it food-safe and forever-lasting.

Choose your colour scheme: Your kit comes in one of two curated colour palettes — pick your favourite at checkout:
- Brights — bold, punchy primary tones

How it works:
- Paint your piece at home — take all the time you need.

- We fire it in our kiln.
- Collect your finished, glossy, one-of-a-kind creation!
A few good things to know: underglaze looks matte before firing and turns glossy once fired, it's water-based so it washes off skin easily, and 2–3 thin coats give the best colour. Most importantly — have fun and enjoy the process. Handmade is what makes it special.
📍 Final firing takes place at The Pottery Lounge. (Drop-off between 10am-6pm, Excluding NZ Public Holidays)
From out of town?
No worries — you don't need to send it all the way back to us. Most towns around New Zealand have a local pottery studio, art centre or community kiln that can finish the job. Just ask if they can do a glaze fire to cone 5 or 6 (around 1200°C) — that's the final firing your piece needs to come out glossy and food-safe + the Clear glaze is included in the box. It's a quick fire and most studios are happy to pop small pieces in with their own next load for a small fee.
