Record the firing segments and hold times alongside a Blue Snowflakes test tile so that a successful result can be repeated in your kiln.

How to apply

• Mix the liquid glaze thoroughly and follow the jar’s brushing instructions. The liquid product sold here does not use the mixing recipe for a dry dipping glaze.
• If consistency needs adjustment, put a small working quantity in a separate container and make a test before changing the whole jar.
• Use Laguna’s Crystal Blossom firing schedule as a starting point, including its crystal-growth hold during cooling. Kiln size and loading affect the result, so adapt it through tests.

Food-contact suitability

The crystals can form a slightly raised surface. Laguna recommends a more durable glaze for high-abrasion dinnerware areas; use this range for decorative surfaces and test the completed piece.

Before glazing a full piece

Fire a test tile on your chosen clay before glazing a full piece. Record the coats, firing cone and cooling programme. Photographs show example fired results; clay colour, kiln atmosphere and application can change the appearance.
